This is probably my favorite book in the entire world. I have read it numerous times always clearing my mind so it will be just like the first time. Just imagine living with so much pain that all you really want is to have blue eyes like a baby doll because you think that is the only way that someone else will love you. In the end retreating into a world all your own because there was no one there to protect a little girl who just wanted to be a little girl.



I know Toni Morrison has a style that is not always appreciated but if you can let go of what your expectations of what you want this to be and just let it be the masterpiece that it is; I think you will appreciate it as much as I do.
