The Black Pearl by Francine Craft

The Black PearlThe Black Pearl by Francine Craft
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book and it was set in my favorite city in the world, New Orleans. It is set during the time period right after the slaves were freed.

Parts of the book were slow but I managed to not skip any pages.. I must say that Cele reminds me of a few people I know, blinded by their own wants.

This book is out of print and I must be honest and advise that I received this book as a gift from the author although it does not affect my review.

it was a good read.

Historical Fiction

I was searching for African American Historical romance novels on amazon when I located this book. I had never heard of Amber Green before then but I took the leap. If you are put off by erotica especially male on male erotica this book is not for you. I am going to be honest I enjoyed the story. Twilight Amery was a not so innocent character who became a companion to Hector and Stone and then she became much more.

Enjoy with a open mind!

I loved this book. CJ was awesome! He loves his bar and his lifestyle, but his family needs him to take the helm of the family business.  I felt so bad for Cicely and I wished her family were better towards her! Cicely, is hard-working, fashionable and a good friend.

I love forward to the next installment in this series.
